FT1202: Fixture for SRAM Full Mount/UDH Flat Mount Dropout

• Material: 303 stainless steel (brake fixture)
• Application:
  • Use for alignment and installation of front-style flat mount standard brake bosses on PMW SRAM Full Mount/UDH Flat Mount Dropouts (see Related Products below)
    • Can be used with any 12 mm rear dropout if there is adequate clearance
  • This fixture WILL NOT work for forks, the brake position is not correct.
•  Assembly Components:
  • 1 each brake fixture
  • 1 each rotational stop
  • 2 each 1/2" brake bushing
  • 1 each 1" drill bushing
  • 1 each 3/4" OD washer
  • 1 each M6 x 20 SCCS
  • 2 each M5 x 4 SHSS
  • 1 each M5 x 12 SHCS
  • 2 each M5 x 30 SHCS

Assembly Instructions for installation of left side brake bosses using fixture:

IMPORTANT:

• All steps require that the builder is cleaning and deburring adequately
• All parts of the Brake Fixture and hardware are stainless steel; they can be soaked for flux removal
• This fixture can be used with any 12 mm rear dropout, assuming adequate clearance
• This fixture WILL NOT work for forks; the brake position is not correct.

1. Complete chainstay/dropout joint
2. Install the Rotational Stop on the Brake Fixture piece using the supplied M5 x12 SHCS
3. Install a 1/2" long Brake Bushing in the rear hole of the Brake Fixture using the supplied M5 x 4 SHSS
   • Tighten the set screw gently
4. Install the 1" long Drill Bushing in the forward hole of the Brake Fixture using the supplied M5 x 4 SHSS
   • Tighten the set screw gently
5. Install the Brake Fixture on the left dropout inside face using the supplied washer and M6 x 20 SHCS
   • Make sure the Rotational Stop is touching the chainstay tab
6. Using the 1" long Drill Bushing as a guide, use a 5/16" drill or endmill to make a through hole in the chainstay
   • Use a hand drill or set up in a drill press or milling machine
7. Rotate the Brake Fixture away from the chainstay, exchange the Drill Bushing for a Brake Bushing
8. Install a Brake Boss in the 5/16" chainstay hole
9. Install a Brake Boss in the dropout saddle
10. Rotate the Brake Fixture to the chainstay
11. Bolt the Brake Fixture to both the front and rear Brake Bosses using the supplied M5 x 30 SHCS
12. Weld, braze or silver solder the Brake Bosses to the dropout and chainstay
