USEFUL INFORMATION
Sliding dropouts: These were originally made for single speed bikes with disc brakes. They have also been used for adjustable chainstay frames, 26/29 inch convertible bikes, Rohloff bikes, belt drives and other applications where there are advantages to being able to move the rear wheel with a brake caliper. They are designed to be built in a frame with the adjusting slot horizontal. Other orientations are possible, but frame geometry is more variable with non-horizontal layouts. Because sliding dropouts were designed specifically for use with disc brakes, we do not offer a left side without the disc mounts; left side sliders can easily be modified to remove the brake mounts if needed.
Clamp bolts: Sliding dropouts are supplied with four steel clamp bolts. To upgrade to titanium clamp bolts, order part number MS0021 (an additional $18.00).
